Medical Rest Cont.

After four full days of rest, it was time to try out that left leg. We decided to walk up to the farm shop up on the Banbury road. We walked through Shotteswell then took a long path through two broad bean fields. Rain threatened, but we stayed dry. The broad beans were rotting in the field which seemed to be an awful shame, maybe the farmer lacked the labour to harvest them? Unfortunately, Tim failed to check the opening times and the farm shop was closed, but maybe he had an ulterior motive as this meant we were FORCED to have lunch in the Falcon. (And very nice it was too!) Anyway, the news was that the leg worked out fine without pain. After some further icing and rest when we got back all was good. Thanks for all the supportive comments and calls, with luck we plan to leave for Derbyshire on Wednesday to continue LEJOG. The Pennine Way, the big one, beckons.
