The weather forecast was for cloudy conditions but no rain so we packed the rain gear away. The tent and rain fly were nice and dry after a rest day spent hanging in the shower so the rest of the packing was easy too. We stopped at a little take out cafe down the road to pick up BLTs for lunch and we were on the trail about 8:30. Newquay is the biggest town we’ve walked through so far – it took about 1 1/2 hours to cross town, looking down at the coast the whole way. We hit our stride today, still some biggish up and downs but we made good time on the cliff tops and made it to the campground in plenty of time to set up the tent and order the first round before the England game. England beat Germany 2-0.
