This blog records our long awaited long distance walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats. We have been planning this for many years and had in fact intended to do it in 2020, but you know what happened of course. So now we are back on track but due to COVID-19 we are splitting the walk into two parts; Land’s End to Kirk Yetholm in 2021 and Kirk Yetholm to John O’Groats in 2022. In one sense, we are looking forward to losing ourselves on this adventure. But of course GPS will help us on our way…
We are doing this mostly for ourselves, but also for charity. We are neither young nor too old, but in a decade or so we will be, so now is the time to challenge ourselves and see if we can do it. We imagine it will be in equal parts exhilarating, exhausting and sometimes downright damp, but hopefully we will both be the better for it. We’d like you to support us by subscribing to the blog, following us and finding out how we do. If you fancy supporting us by buying us a beer, may we instead suggest you spend your money by giving to our chosen charity, MacMillan Cancer Support?
